4-H YOUTH ENROLLMENT & RE-ENROLLMENT for 2024-2025 4-H Year

New 4-H Year starts October 1, 2024

(The 4-H year runs from October 1-September 30th each year)

Open enrollment is officially open October 1-November 30.

HOW TO ENROLL: Only paper forms accepted (NO online option this year)

  • Option 1: Stop by CCE Niagara and fill out paperwork in person (copies available at front desk) starting October 1. 
  • Option 2: Fill out paperwork at your October/November club or animal species meetings; forms available in the training center; seal enrollment form in envelope with your cash or check payment; drop into the CCE front foyer of Admin Building--white 4-H lock box mounted to wall. 
  • Option 3: Print a paper copy out online at home, fill out, mail in with check or drop off to office. If you come after hours, you can leave it in the front foyer locked drop box.
  • Option 4: Enroll at 4-H Open House
  • 4-H Enrollment Fees:(Not accepting any 4-H Enrollments or Re-Enrollments after March 1)
    • First time enrolling/New Members between Oct.1-March 1 = $30 per child
    • Returning members, re-enrolling between Oct.1-Nov. 30 = $30 per child
    • Returning members, re-enrolling between Dec.1-March 1 = $35 per child
    • Maximum of $75 per family for 3 or more children living in same household
  • WHO CAN ENROLL? Youth ages 5-18. “4-H Age” goes by whatever your age is as of January 1. Must be at least 5 years old by January 1, 2025. Must be 18 or under by January 1, 2025. (But may turn 19 after January 1, 2025)
  • ENROLLMENT PAYMENT: Please pay with cash or check made out to "CCE NIAGARA." Want to pay with credit card? There is no online credit card link on our webpage currently. Please either call the office to pay with credit card over the phone or stop by the office to pay with credit card in person.

ANIMAL PROGRAM RULES & REQUIREMENTS FOR 2024-2025

  • Returning/Re-enrolling members must re-enroll by January 6, 2025, to be eligible to show/exhibit animals at the 2025 Niagara County Fair. Re-enrollments from returning members received after 1/6/25, can still participate in 4-H and attend all animal meetings & 4-H programs, but are not permitted to show animals at fair in 2025. This is a hard deadline and exceptions will not be made.
  • First time enrolling/new members - must enroll by March 1, 2025, and meet the minimum meeting requirements (explained below) to be eligible to show any animal species at fair.
  • Each Clover Bud & 4-H Member must attend at least 5 species meetings per year (between October 2024-July 2025) to meet minimum meeting requirements, in order to be eligible to show/exhibit animals of any species, at the 2025 Niagara County Fair.
  • County level 4-H public presentations = can count towards ONE of those 5 meetings, for those showing multiple species, counts for only 1 animal species of 4-H’er’s choice
  • Farm Safety Course=can count towards ONE of those 5 meetings, for only 1 animal species of 4-H’er’s choice (if showing multiple species).
  • 4-H College students – Are NOT required to attend 5 meetings per year, but must see your animal science leader for their own requirements. 
  • Each animal species program/leader has the right to require additional requirements in order to be eligible to show that species within their program, at leader’s discretion.
