Awards and New Board Members Announced

CCE Niagara Announces Annual Awards and Newly Elected Board Members

Congratulations to the following recipients on receiving the “Distinguished Service in Agriculture Award”, “Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County Community Service Award” and “Friend of Extension Award” at the CCE Niagara Annual Meeting on October 24, 2024. 

Matthew Costello received the “Distinguished Service in Agriculture Award” for his long-term dedication to the agricultural community, highlighting his impactful service in both farm and non-farm organizations.

The “Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara Community Service Award” celebrated the contributions of Nicholas Streiff, Paul Rockwood, Nancy Haas, and Matthew Knott. Each of these individuals has made significant strides in supporting CCE Niagara through their volunteer efforts and dedication.

Mike Basil from Basil Toyota and Basil Volkswagen was honored with the “Friend of Extension Award” for his unwavering support of CCE Niagara and youth education initiatives, demonstrating the powerful impact of community partnership.

Additionally, congratulations to the newly elected members of the CCE Board of Directors: Joseph Flagler, Susan Ohol, Mary Schroeder, Timothy Stead, and Debi Sweeney. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences will surely strengthen the CCE Niagara Board.

Finally, a special recognition goes to Rich Woodbridge for five years of dedicated service at CCE Niagara.
