2025 Pie Baking Competition

Join the 2025 Pie Baking Competition at the 2025 Niagara County Fair!

This competition is open to any amateur pie baker, any age, who is a resident of New York State.  Professional bakers or any person who regularly makes pies for pay are not allowed to enter.

The cost of entering is $5.00 per pie.

Closed judging will take place Thursday afternoon. 

Contest results will be posted on the CCE website and award winners will be contacted to pick up ribbons.

Judging will be based on the following evaluation categories:

  • pre-slice /first impression
  • after slice impression,
  • first taste
  • flavor/closer look
  • mouthfeel,
  • crust
  • overall impression
  • creativity

Drop off location: 4487 Lake Avenue, Lockport—CCE Administration building. 

Drop off Times: Wednesday July 30,, between 8am-10pm or Thursday July 31, between 8am-2pm (during the Niagara County Fair)
