"CCE Niagara is our go-to place for farm tips. They have done
so much to help us as beginning farmers. CCE specialists there have
provided us with practical knowledge for raising and marketing healthy
fruits and vegetables (both in fields and high-tunnels), allowing us to grow
our family business into a popular CSA program. They hold informative
workshops, like the farmers market vendor workshop that significantly improved
our farm market display, which now attracts more customers. As our farm
business grows, we really look forward to creating some value-added apple
products in their future community commercial kitchen. We thank them for all
their help!"

"In 4-H I have learned about chickens
and rabbits and the parts of their bodies. The best part of 4-H is being
with friends while showing animals. I am now taking Archery, and it is
leading me into Forestry Workshop. Maybe in the future I'll go to law
enforcement school and become a park ranger or DEC officer. -4H is
helping me set a career path for myself."
-Nicholas, age 12
"4-H has taught me how to speak out
without being nervous, how to help others, and how to make new friends.
In 4-H I have learned new things about poultry,
rabbits, and crafts. I am looking forward to growing with 4-H."

“With the
help of the Creating Healthy Schools Grant, we are getting healthy one step at
a time, through policy changes and actions such as our school walk-a-thon.”
-Julie Andreozzi, Martin Road Elementary Principal
"Programs at
Niagara CHE have helped increase my skills and confidence. I have taken
informative and fun classes on topics from shrub pruning, to basket weaving, to
making salves, to canning food, to baking bread. I love the feeling of I get
when I learn a new skill. Cornell is a wonderful resource for our community
with skilled instructors."
